THE Junior Hockey League, starting on Jan 11, will have a record 28 teams with eight in Division One and 20 in two groups in Division Two.
This is the highest number of entries since the JHL was incepted in 1995.
The teams to watch in Division one are double champions Tengku Mahkota Ismail Sports School as well as UniKL Young Guns.
The other teams in Division One are Bukit Jalil Sports School, MSSSPP-USM, MBI-Anderson, Petaling Jaya CC, SSTMI Juniors and newly promoted Malacca High School.
Group A comprises mostly teams from the northern region in order to cut down travelling costs. The teams are Sabah Juniors, Anderson Juniors, MSSS Kelantan, 1Mas Penang, Matri, SM Sains Tun Azlan Shah, Kedah HA Juniors, MSSS Perlis, Nur Insafi and Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman Ipoh.
In Group B are Tunku Besar Secondary School, SMK Datuk Taha Gemencheh, Olak-PKT, SMK Padang Midin, MSSS Johor, Politeknik KPT, Kuala Langat, BJSS Juniors, KL Sports School and Tunas Muda Pahang.
